Cookie policy
This page explains how gerleu.fit handles cookies and comparable technologies, and why the only storage we use falls within the exception for strictly necessary operations under section 25 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).
What section 25 TDDDG requires
German law requires prior consent before information is stored on, or read from, a reader’s terminal equipment. The rule has a narrow exception: where the storage or access is strictly necessary to provide a service that the reader has expressly requested, consent is not required. Our entire use of storage falls inside that exception, which is why you will see no consent banner on this site.
What we store
We use a single local storage entry that records which section of our navigation you last opened. It exists so that the interface can present a consistent state when you return to a page. The entry holds a short section identifier and nothing else. It contains no personal data, no identifier that could single you out, and no value that could be used for advertising.
We set no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no social media pixels and no third-party measurement tags. We do not embed remote fonts, remote images or remote scripts, so no other party receives a request from your browser as a result of visiting our pages.

Why consent is not requested
Because the single entry above performs a function you have asked for by navigating the site, and because it carries no tracking purpose, it meets the strictly necessary test. Should we ever wish to add analysis or advertising storage, we would first introduce a consent mechanism that satisfies section 25 TDDDG and Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR, offer a clear refusal option, and document the change in our privacy policy.
How to remove stored entries
You can clear this entry at any time through your browser’s settings, in the section that manages site data. Removing it has no effect on your ability to read our pages; the interface simply forgets which section you last visited. Your browser may also offer a setting that blocks site storage entirely, which will likewise leave the site fully readable.
Your rights
Even for technically necessary storage, our privacy policy describes your rights under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR and the route for a complaint to a supervisory authority. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected], and requests concerning legal matters to [email protected].
